Long time no see

So, we've been housesitting for the last 2+ weeks and I've been away from my computer. But, we're home again and I have tons of pictures.
Let's see if I can explain all these:
- Riding in the sack swing. It's a little snug for 2, but still fun!
- Jack loves when Daddy comes home. Especially when Jack then gets a driving lesson.
- A really cool park. Of course, with our cars.
- Just goofin' with mom and playing in the un-made bed.
- Jack got stung by a yellow jacket right above his eye. He's showing me his owie.
- Jumping on the trampoline with dad.
- We were taking care of the chickens. We called this one "mama hen." Jack loved her, because he could pet her.
- Chillin' with cousin Amaia.

Summer Fun

So it's been a little while. Sorry
Here are a few from our summer adventures. Butterfly Pavilion. Hiking with our new backpack. Riding the pony at the Pioneer Party.

We've been loving it all. It's gotten a bit hot though. I'll be glad to have it cool down a little.

Around the house

Just a few shots of the little man.
He LOVES his "Poppy." Especially when Poppy has a big bowl of ice cream.
I love that he loves to read. This book is "Ducks in Muck." The "Oh no!" is because the trucks get stuck. :)

CAMP OUT

So, we went on our first camping trip with Jack. He did really well!! He slept better than Pete and I (we're getting old). He loved going for walks and digging in the dirt. And, of course, he loved the fire. We're happy to have an outdoors boy! Thanks Jake for the perfect spot.

Denver Summer Days

Denver has been so fun so far. I hate the unpacking, but all the things we've been doing to avoid that have been great! :)
We've been spending time at the pool, watching movies, playing with Grandma and Grandpa and cousins.
We even hit the chalk art show downtown this week. It was awesome. It's nice to be back in the mountains and with family.
The picture with Jack if half his jammies and mom's hat does have an explanation. He was dressed in normal clothes, but insisted on wearing his monkey pajama pants that he found while I was doing laundry. Pete thought he looked like a dork, but I thought it was cute!

At last

Ok - so it's been a while since I updated. I finally found a place for our computer and time to sit down and do this.
So I know we've been here in Denver a while, but as a quick update - the move went pretty good. Jack did soooo good. Two days in the car and he hardly made a peep. But of course (as you can see) a little SlimJim and a DVD player strapped to the seat in front of him saved us.
And yes - I was driving when I took the pictures of him sleeping. How could I pass that up?!

LAZY DAYS

Spring has been great here in TX. Only one more week to enjoy it. Then we get to hit Colorado just as it gets great!!
Here are just a few of the last couple of weeks. This video cracks me up!! It will be interesting to see how he uses that arm once the cast is off.
I couldn't resist taking the shot of him on the couch - such a man! Half eaten food, no shirt, just chillin' and watching TV. Love it.
He is TOTALLY surprising us these days with his expanding vocabulary. Words come out of his mouth and we have no idea where he learned them (they're all good words, by the way). :) He is still such a joy. He makes us laugh every day.

Dapper Duo

This adorable outfit came from Grandma & Grandpa Simpson. He looked sooooo cute, we had to snap a few photos. Everyone at church just loved it.

BlueBonnets

We decided we couldn't let our last Spring in TX go by without a bluebonnet picture. Even with the blue cast. I'm glad we did it - they turned out cute. Jack is with his cousins Lily & June. Lily could not get enough of Jack. He was doing good to keep the kisses coming. Although he swatted a few down. :)
