Seniority Rules

Well, it's official. Pete is a Senior in college (just in time for my 40th birthday. ;) jk). I'm so proud of him. He had a great year! Just one more to go and we're planning on heading back to the West. We need some mountain air.

Jack's new thing is laughing at anything that is tossed around. My favorite part is his cheeser in the beginning!

We tried another Texas flower shot and it wasn't nearly as successful. :) It could have been the bees.

We fed the ducks at the pond. Jack was so interested in them from his stroller, but as soon as I put him on the ground he wanted no part in the action.

Goofy Duo

Pete was trying to mimic Jack's look. He did pretty well considering he didn't really know what face Jack would pull when I shot the photo.

Texas bluebonnets

So, we did the Texas thing and found our way to a field of bluebonnets to photograph our little man. He and cousin Lily had a great time!

Wisteria lane

So, to prove that I can blog about something other than our son, I thought I'd post some pics from the gorgeous wisteria I have discovered in our neighborhood. Texas is in full bloom and it makes for great walks. The best is this wisteria vine that has overtaken my favorite tree. And the smell!! Anyway, we took a family walk to get these photos and one of the neighbors pointed us in the direction of some great bluebonnets and azaleas.

Game boy

Daddy got an XBox 360 and Jack loves to play with him.

Our big boy

As you can see from the photos, Jack is turning into a little man. We've had some good milestones lately. Last week he went in the baby swing all by himself. He can hold his own bottle now, but he prefers to help mommy hold a glass and drink from that. He's sitting up pretty good by himself and talking like crazy. He loves to say "ba-ba-ba-ba-ba." And somehow he learned my fake laugh - he does it exactly like me. Very weird.
He is such a joy.
