All I have to do is point the camera at him and I get this look. He thinks he's so cute.... and he might be right. By the way, this is the look he gives girls out in public. He's perfecting it for later in life. :)
Here are a few of the latest videos - all proof that little Jack Jack is growing up. He is really into cars these days. He is also VERY into helping mom in the kitchen. He loves to stir. Most of the time that works out well for both of us. And of course - he has to feed himself. He's getting pretty good. I can hardly get him to drink anything out of sippy cups. He only wants to use regular glasses.
Jack loves to sneak into my closet and steal my little nylon socks. Then he begs to have it put on his head (that was totally Pete's doing). He thinks it's so funny!!
So, it's finally cooled down around here and we've even seen a few leaves change colors. We're soooo excited for Thanksgiving (hmmmmmm, turkey). Here are a few of the ol' family. Jack loves to play with foil, so we were putting it on his head. He loved his hat. He also loves sticking his tongue out.
Happy Halloween! We had a great time today. We went with Pete's classmates to their church fair. And then our ward had a picnic and trunk-or-treat. Jack was Superman, Dad was Clark Kent and Mom was Lois Lane. Jack, of course, stole the show. And after putting costumes on and then off and then on again, and running all over town - I understand why my mom hates Halloween. :) She did all that with 8 kids. The little monkey is Jack's best bud Maddox.
Jack spent the morning yelling across the courtyard at, well... pretty much nothing. Maybe he saw a bird I didn't. Good thing it wasn't a weekend! :) Although, all our neighbors adore him.
We had a wonderful day with our little one-year-old. I think we enjoyed the zoo more than he did. I can't believe a year has gone by. It's been a challenge and a blast! WE LOVE YOU JACK!
Jack has turned into a total camera hog. The second any camera goes on, he's ready. Usually with that cheeser grin he picked up somewhere. It's so cute though! His favorite things these days: stealing mommies toast (and caught red handed - or maybe butter handed); sitting on the balcony to watch the planes fly over head; climbing the stairs (which he fell down this morning) and raisins (he likes them best in the little boxes that he can hold).
We do not know where this smile came from, but he does it all the time. It's so cheeser!! And so cute. You can see his two top teeth. The two on each side are about to pop through as well.
Jack loves to sit on the computer desk and watch videos or listen to music (just like his dad). He's just discovered how fun the mouse is - it makes clicky noises and has a rolling button! I have to keep typing things over because he points the mouse on something else or he'll reach down and hit keys on the keyboard. He does love to boogy!!!
Jack took his first steps today!!! If he had waited 10 more minutes daddy would have seen it. He was sitting in my lap on the floor and just stood up and took 2 steps. It was so fun to watch! It seems so normal, I didn't think I would be so excited for him, but I'm a proud mama! We'll try to have video soon.
Jack has figured out how to rock himself in the glider. I love how he points in the beginning like he's about to dedicate this moment to all his fans out there!! I suppose in some way - that's exactly what he's doing.
I left my heart in Montana. I love this place. There is just something about it. We had a blast! Jack took his first 4-wheeler ride and his first horseback ride. He loved both. He's more afraid of the dogs than the horses. Aside from the mobbing mosquitoes, it was perfect.
Just hanging out on the front porch enjoying the evening and playing fetch with Belle (she never stops). Jack laughs when we play fetch with her. He thinks it's hilarious to watch her take off.
